Navy and Pink Metallic Wedding

There’s little we love more than a little gold glitter, some mis-matched bridesmaid dresses, and a couple that is head-over-heels for one another. Check. Check. Check. This classy navy + sparkly pink metallic wedding on our wedding blog today is a winner. The South Carolina setting ∫ with overwhelmingly large oak trees shaded the beautiful summer ceremony. The bride & groom showed their state pride on custom painted wine glasses and party favors. They said “I do” and danced the night away with one numerous, and very beautiful, wedding party to usher them into their future together.

Our southern dream wedding all came into play in Greenville South Carolina. My husband is from North Carolina and I have spent most of my life in Greenville so we settled on there for our wedding. Gold, blush, champagne and Navy are a few of my favorite colors so that is how our dream came into play. each bridesmaid had the choice of their own dress. Some are rented from Rent the Runway and some are purchased from J.Crew, Forever 21, Dillards, etc. It all came together so perfectly. I wanted the guys to be comfortable too, so we allowed them to get navy suits from wherever they chose.. I just wanted them to fit perfectly :).

We settled on Zen for the venue because it was in the middle of downtown and gave us the best atmosphere for what we wanted. Our florist, Suzie, far exceeded my expectations of what I wanted in flowers. They were magical. That is the only way to put it. They took my breath away when I saw them for the first time. Being a wedding photographer myself, my biggest and most important vendor of our day was our photographer. I’ve shot a few weddings with Jamie before and I was so excited when he agreed to shoot our day. He captured everything and more!

All we wanted (besides to be married 🙂 ) was for our ceremony to reflect Jesus. Our friend Lee officiated and every time I look at our pictures and watch our video I cry out of pure joy for how faithful God is to both Dalton and myself to have found each other. The second thing we wanted was all of the people we loved there to celebrate with us. There are little things throughout our whole wedding that came from family..the diamond Dalton gave me was his grandmothers, my veil was one of my Matron of honor’s, and a heart locket that every woman in my family has worn on their wedding day. My hankie was my brother’s, who passed away 6.5 years ago, it was the bonnet that he came home from the hospital in.
