Tell us a little more about Ariel Taub and how it came to be! Did you start your career as a designer?

While attending college, I created my first veil for my sisters’ wedding. I took a pattern from her dress and made an intricate design along the border of her veil with Swarovski crystals. That moment I fell in love with bridal accessories and the creativity I could put into my products. It also made me really happy that I can create a product, which allows my work be a part of someone’s special day. From there, I decided this is what I wanted to do for my career. I went to graduate school at Parson’s the New School for Design and got my degree in Fashion Design.

After graduating, I decided I wanted to build a bridal brand in hopes of providing clients with glamorous, timeless pieces. I created Ariel Jennifer Taub to be a collection designed specifically for the sophisticated bride who craves elegant and unique pieces. The brand focuses on American-made, high quality products, and is known for intricate crystal detail work that goes into all of the products. All of the pieces are handmade in Michigan and made with Swarovski® Crystals. Every crystal on the products are placed individually – one crystal at a time. Every piece also has a hidden “something blue” Swarovski crystal, the company’s signature and gift to its brides.

Your pieces are beautiful! What accessories are most popular with brides today?

Thank you! The most popular pieces have been the ones embellished with Swarovski crystal. The brand is most known for its veils, which has been a favorite of our brides to date. They absolutely have loved all the heavily intricate crystal work on the veils.

We love this collection, tell us about the new styles! What do you love most about it?

This fall, the brand will be launching a new jewelry line. The jewelry line, which I am very excited to launch, is simple, delicate and edgy. I really wanted to create statement pieces that you could wear for your wedding day and after.

The inspiration for all the pieces in the new 2016 collection was based on Monet’s watercolor paintings. I have pieces with a lot of soft color (lilac, blush, mint, light blue), light organza material to provide a water effect, mixed with gold — this seasons’ new leading color. I am really excited to show a variety of products this season with new cuts and color.
