To sum up this pretty rooftop affair on our lifestyle blog today: books and brunch. Excited yet? We love a good rooftop party, and when you through in pink iced doughnuts and a DIY savvy book filled with fun ideas, we couldn’t be happier. The brunch is just as fun as Mr. Kate’s book itself both in style and activity. There is No Subject produced it all with the help of some stylish vendors. Here’s their story:
From the producers, There is No Subject…
Mr. Kate wanted to launch her brand new book in style (and on a budget!) so we put together a beautiful Moroccan themed brunch on the roof deck of One Colorado Old Pasadena. Our goal was to create a buffet style brunch with plenty of room for lounging and socializing ( and of course reading the book!). We teamed up with Archive vintage rentals to create a sit down brunch environment using vintage rugs, floor pillow, lanterns and mix and match coffee tables. We paired each table with books and gorgeous summer inspired florals with eclectic silver ware and teacups for champagne cocktails!
Our farm table was the focal point for the DIY brunch where we put together a mix of pastries, parfait bar, blue bottle New Orleans coffee and a cheese plate to die for. Guests were able to help themselves all while perusing the oh-so instagrammable donut stand with California Donuts! We had pre-batched breakfast cocktails available for self serve as well as Club W champagne for extra bubbles. The open seating made it easy for guests to move around, enjoy brunch and lounge in the California Sunshine!
