Summer deserves to be celebrated. With beautiful dinner parties like this one on our lifestyle blog of course. We swoon over the pink and sage color scheme, the velvety lounges (from Pretty Vintage Table), and the menu. Oh my goodness, the MENU! Blood orange and avocado salad, grilled whole branzino, and chamomile ice cream set off guests’ tastebuds. Add in the stunning scenery at Firestone Estate and you’re all set for a perfect Summer’s eve. Oh, California we love you.
Anna Costa, of Michael & Anna Costa Photography & Costa Kitchen, threw the bash for & with her friends – and it was just her style. Ultra photogenic and droolingly (yes) delicious! With gorgeous Precious and Blooming florals of course that “made the simple look extravagant.”
A few words from Anna on this incredible affair…
“Put together friends, food and a California backdrop and VOILA you have bliss! Or that’s what Anna Costa (Michael & Anna Costa Photography & Costa Kitchen) thought when she invited friends and event industry compatriots to join her in styling a shoot for her two great loves – photography and food. Jessica of Bijoux Events masterminded and coordinated everything from the location (breathtaking Firestone Estate) to the tiniest styling adjustments of the cheesecake stuffed raspberries (Yum!). Kellye of Precious and Blooming orchestrated the gorgeous floral and a brought her impeccable eye for making the simple look extravagant. And the lovely ladies from Pretty Vintage Table (Debbie & Candice) generously lent their one of kind pieces to add a level of charm that was not only unique but exquisite as well. And of course Anna provided not only the original recipes but also took all the drool-worthy pictures.
“California Comfort Food” is a name that Anna uses to describe her delectable but balanced approach to eating. For Anna, feeling good while eating well is an absolutely MUST in her life. Sure, she loves a good blood orange and avocado salad or grilled whole branzino. But that doesn’t mean she won’t take a few bites of her signature chamomile ice cream at the end of the day! Combining food and fun while still feeling and looking great are all top on her priority list. That and of course her talented husband and gorgeous daughter….They help out too by making great taste testers!
