Tell us more about how you started blogging! Was Style By Alina a dream of yours?
I started Style By Alina during my honeymoon as a way to visually chronicle my wardrobe, but little did I know that overtime it would evolve into a full-time job in which I absolutely love. Blogging not only allows me to share my passion in style and beauty, but also enables me to pursue other creative and professional endeavors I could only dream of before. More importantly, it has given the opportunity to connect with a lot of successful women who inspire me and continue to have a positive impact in my life.

We love following along with your life on Style By Alina, and now you’ll be a first time mom! How do you see that changing your blog?
I think the core of Style by Alina, which is fashion and beauty focused, will remain the same but you will definitely see a more intimate side of my life as a new mom. For example, we’re working on my baby nursery right now and I’m so excited to share with our readers once it’s all done.
How would you describe your maternity style?
I try to stay true to the same style I was before I became pregnant which is feminine and effortless.

What are your go-tos for dressing your baby bump? Do you have go-to shops that make it easier?
My fashion go-tos evolved from one trimester to the next. In the first two trimesters when I was in that in-between stage, I loved wearing maternity jeans, loose fitting tops and shift dresses. In the third trimester, I preferred mostly dresses as they highlight the bump really well and they’re just more comfortable to wear in general. Some of my favorite go-to shops for maternity fashion are ASOS, Old Navy, Maternity Destination, Pink Blush Maternity, and Boob!
You always look so cute, even with a baby due so soon! How do you make current trends work with your constantly changing body?
Thank you so much! I think fabric choice is very important. If there is a certain style or trend I’d like to wear, I will look for that style in a material that adapts well to my pregnant body.

What’s the Best Style Advice you’ve ever received?
Don’t take fashion too seriously! Have fun, experiment but staying true to yourself is the most important thing.
What’s the best advice you’ve got from someone on being a new mom?
Taking each day as it comes and don’t sweat over the little things. I used to struggle with the what-if(s) when my baby arrives, but I’ve learned to roll with the punches and prioritize things as they come up. It makes my life a lot less stressful and the unexpected becomes less scary.

There’s so much cute baby fashion out there right now! What do you have your eye on for your little one?
Yes, there is! I melt every time I walk pass the baby boy section at the stores. Right now, I am having my eyes on these cute Easter bunny outfits and moccasin shoes. They’re so cute for spring.
