Ok stop it. We just can’t take all the cuteness! Sloane – you had us at this little girl’s name! – had an “Animal Crackers” first birthday party and we couldn’t wait to share it with you on our baby blog! Cue the Shirley temple because the animal crackers are everywhere – to make, to eat, to play with (hello elephant pinata!)! Sloane’s momma got together a seriously talented team of vendors that brought this
pink kiddie party to life!
For my darling Sloane’s first birthday party I wanted something bright, unique, and whimsical! After seeing a Frosted Animal Crackers Giveaway on Instagram when she was about 3 months old a lightbulb went off in my head and thus the planning began! I mean who doesn’t glove Frosted Animal Crackers!? Your baby only turns one once so I wanted to go all out for her. I wanted an abundance of pink and white with hints of the rainbow sprinkles to get the theme across, but wanted it to be fun instead of being too frilly with so much pink. The circus animals were also a key point. I devoted my countless nights of being unable to sleep, with my precious baby sleeping in my arms, toward dreaming of and planning for her party. My brain swirled with ideas and I’m so happy with the way it turned out!
We had a little area for the kiddies with circus animal blow up animals, stuffed animals, and headbands with the animal ears they could wear. There was a Make Your Own Animal Cracker station with pink icing and rainbow sprinkles to create your own. A milk bar with milk bottles and strawberry syrup to enhance the white and pink colors. An actual bar that my husband headed. And a table for the favors. 2 tables for guests to sit. And an area with the high chair and sequin backdrop provided by Carissa Cady Photography. Of course, the dessert table, too.
My husband and I had a small wedding so we invited all of our loved ones to her party and about 30-40 friends and family were present! It was the first party I ever planned and now I’m addicted to it and would love to venture into the world of event design! I couldn’t have done it without my 2 cousins and other family members, as well as both Carissas! The entire process was such a blast and baby Sloane was the main event. The best part was her smash cake where she so delicately dug in without the use of her hands, looking around at all of the people watching her to make sure it was okay for her to do. It was her first taste of cake and needless to say she loved it! This is such a dream, thank you!
