This Santa Barbara Wedding incorporated a few of our favorite things with succulent place cards, big paper flowers, and a well stocked dessert bar :). Coral and red details.. including some Mexican flair made the decor bright and lively and an interactive guest book and open bar kept guests entertained. With a fab team of vendors, this color packed, twinkle lit, food truck catered affair is one for the books on our wedding blog!
From the bride and groom:
Housing Casa Covarrubias, one of the oldest adobes in Santa Barbara, the Santa Barbara Historical Museum was an ideal wedding location for us. The buildings captured the essence of California and the “American Riviera” with the rustic adobe and red tile roof while the natural landscape was enhanced with bright floral arrangements. For Patrick and I, the museum was a classic location to connect the historical past of California and the start of our married life together. The stunning museum grounds were enhanced with bright, colorful floral arrangements from Laura Sangas at Cody Floral Design . For favors, guests were provided planted succulents to take home their own piece of Santa Barbara.
We both had some abstract ideas on what we wanted to include in our wedding and our wonderful wedding coordinator Hana Malek of Venus Event Design used her creativity, love of design, and attention to detail to carry out our vision.
Patrick and I knew we wanted Mexican for the dining option but presented in a fun and engaging way to fit the wedding. We selected MIHO Gastrotruck – Inspired by the food truck movement and the local farmers market, MIHO Gastrotruck is the perfect farm to street catering company slinging tacos and more for all your guests. Top off the evening with margaritas and an open bar from Please & Thank You and all you need to know is there is no, yeah, there is no end to love.
