We love businesses that feature organic materials and support a cause so we are more than happy to have Kim Parker on our style blog today! She created the mobile boutique Sisters of Nature after years of wanting to showcase locally made artisans. Not only are the items she sells made by hand, but they are all fair trade and use the finest organic materials.. and did we mention fabulous?! Ten percent of her proceeds go to help women in India develop trade and earn a living for their family, aka she’s pretty inspiring. Meghan Newsom was more than excited to share more about this amazing boutique and her time shooting Kim and her renovated trailer!
Kim completely gutted an old Shasta she found on craigslist after quitting her steady teaching job. She wanted to pursue her creative dreams and bring joy to others lives. She needed a more flexible schedule, and wanted to do something with her hands. Little did she know that after only 7 months of opening her shop, she’d be booming with business and featured in countless blogs and magazines. Her fun and adventurous spirit shines in everything she does, and I feel like this trailer is a culmination of all of that.
She features indie and handmade artists and designers who source their goods humanely and who produce their goods for fair wages to their employees. If you are in Nashville you MUST follow along and find her boutique, always to be found at different parts of the city. Hopefully you will be able to give her pup, Brave, a kiss and find some beautiful items for you and your home! Now sit down with a cup of tea and explore the inside of her trailer, along with some beautiful photos of Kimberly herself!
(Don’t worry non- Nashville natives, Sisters of Nature Boutique will be opening up an online shop SO SOON!)
