False Lashes go never tried by some.. and sworn by by others. We know they can give va-va-voom lashes that are fuller and lengthier than our natural set but often don’t want the hassle of applying them.. and the possibility of getting glue in our eyes or having to rip them out later in the evening (ah!). Ok, truth be told we’ve never really learned how to apply these babies the right way, so we are going to give them another try with Danika to guide us. She makes it look super quick and easy so long, volume-licious lashes here we come!
Here’s the how-to from Danika…
STEP 1:
Before you get started, apply a coat of mascara to your natural lashes.
STEP 2:
Once you have chosen your lashes, measure and trim them so that they fit comfortably against your eye (you don’t want the lash to extend past your natural lash line).
STEP 3:
Next, color the base of the strip lash in with a dark eyeliner. This step will make the lashes blend seamlessly into your natural lashes.
STEP 4:
Apply the adhesive (I personally like Duo’s Dark Tone Eyelash Adhesive) to the lash base. VERY IMPORTANT, make sure you have let the adhesive sit and get tacky for 5 minutes before applying. If you don’t let it sit, the lashes will slip and slide all over and be difficult to apply.
STEP 5:
As you apply, press them into and on your lash line. They will feel heavy at first, but after a few minutes you will feel flirty and feminine!

So you apply right ON the lash line? I’m just so afraid of the glue ripping my real eyelashes off when I take them off!
As close to the lash line as possible…if you have the right glue you should be safe!!
