Choosing what time of year to get married can be one of the most difficult decisions in wedding planning. However, you can never go wrong with a wedding in autumn. The colors are so unique and pair so well with the changing season. This autumn Connecticut wedding is pure bliss. The different shades of the bridesmaid dresses coincide so elegantly with the floral bouquets. We love the pops of gold in the details throughout the ceremony and reception space that truly ties this wedding together beautifully.
The photographer shares,
“Danielle and Tucker were married on a beautiful fall day on the coast of Connecticut. Their day featured stunning florals from First Blush Florals and included a romantic first look at a local park boasting central park vibes.
Tucker and Danielle technically met at a campus recruiting event while Tucker was in grad school. Danielle was brand new to a company that Tucker had interned at that summer. Their real meeting was about a year later after Tucker joined the company. They finally went on their first date in March 2019 and moved in together during 2020. During their dating years, there were several trips taken, visits home to Danielle’s family in the Chicago suburbs, went on numerous hikes , and started house hunting.”
The photographer shares about the couple’s engagement story,
“They got engaged on August 20, 2021, which occurred during none other than a hike. Tucker had told Danielle that they needed to housesit at his parents for the weekend because they were going to visit family in MA. It was his cousin’s daughter’s second birthday that day, so they organized a morning hike at Westwoods with the two of them, his aunt, and his mom.
The group stopped at a spot that overlooks Lost Lake. This same spot is where the Madison quarantine crew took some photos during one of their dozens of hikes together. One of these photos was painted by Danielle’s grandmother and gifted to Danielle and Tucker, so it was extra special. Some photos were snapped of the almost engaged couple and the birthday girl. Then, Tucker asked for a photo of just the two of them. No sooner was his phone handed off for the “photo” that he got down on one knee and completely surprised Danielle with “Will you marry me?” Of course, Danielle said, “yes!”
The surprises kept coming. Back at his parents’ house in Madison, were most of Danielle’s immediate family. There were tons of decorations, pictures, and bottles of champagne to be popped. The future family unit celebrated all day and into the night. The next day, another surprise came by way of yet another party. Their families were joined by a bunch of their friends for a day full of celebrations, including a pizza truck. It was the perfect weekend, and Tucker knocked it out of the park!”
