This tropical Cabo destination wedding, along with the couple’s love story, makes for the perfect dream wedding day. The sentiment of this location is the cherry on top for these two starting their lives together! The surrounding views throughout the entire day depict the picture perfect destination wedding. We love how the color scheme changes throughout the day, as it starts out with subtle, soft tones, but then changes into a more vibrant theme as they transition into the reception.
The couple’s love story,
“Nate and I became great friends in high school, but that’s not where our love story begins. We went our separate ways for college and didn’t reconnect until Nate asked me to his Senior Ring Ceremony at West Point in New York. We had such a fun weekend and started dating soon after. Over the next 6 years, we were long distance as Nate carried out his Army commitment. I was back home in Louisville as Nate moved from Edinburgh, Scotland, to Georgia, to Kentucky, and then on to a 9 month deployment in Afghanistan.
When Nate retired from the military, we decided to plant roots in Houston, TX where we live now! We’re thrilled to be starting our life together near family and some great friends. Through all of our long distance dating, one of our favorite things to do together was travel and meet in new places! We fell in love with Cabo, and it was a dream to bring all of our family and friends to one of our favorite places for our wedding.”
Wedding inspiration from the bride,
“The Cape and the beautiful Baja Peninsula were what truly inspired the design for the day. We wanted to highlight the beautiful surroundings, but also bring a light and energetic vibe to a more modern and masculine venue. The event started out with the ceremony and a muted color palette of whites, sands and soft pinks; but as the night progressed through cocktail hour and the reception, the colors became more vibrant with pops of citron, yellow, and orange. Textures are very important to me and I loved the mix of the velvet napkins, metallic geometric citron linens, the clean crisp terracotta accents, along with the light and airy palms. The overall design of texture and color palette was a unique balance that really captured the energy of the evening!”
