Oh shucks, as a staple of the modern-day coastal trend, oysters made their presence at this Martha’s Vineyard wedding. However, this bride and groom truly stole the show. Their fantastic decisions on details created a beautiful scene. Imagine taking a dessert from that bar…From the stationary to the florals, the colors glide through all of it. A weekend at Martha’s Vineyard? Yes, please.
Photographer Jessica K Feiden tells us all about this Martha’s Vineyard wedding,
Nickola and Kevin were set up by two of their best friends who tried multiple times to get them together on group dates. It wasn’t until they ran into each other randomly at a bar one night that they decided to go on a real date, just the two of them. To pop the question, Kevin surprised Nickola on a bike ride on Martha’s Vineyard. He stopped at their favorite place on the beach and got on one knee, where Nickola gave a joyful ‘yes’!
For their wedding day, they of course had to go back to that special place and have their celebration at Martha’s Vineyard. They took inspiration from the season, keeping to fall tones but with a modern twist. The goal was to keep things intimate and not your traditional coastal wedding by infusing a boho vibe. The tented reception featured suspended rattan lanterns and a donut wall built by Nickola’s stepdad.
