Oh, baby! This bohemian baby shower is the perfect way to celebrate a new addition to the family. The use of mismatched chairs at the table paired perfectly with the theme. Good conversation happens at a table like that! Just further, the chair for the mom-to-be is such a fantastic addition for her to open the presents and get her moment to shine. We would definitely be stuck at that grazing table for…hours. The whole event is so gracefully done!
Gabrielle von Heyking Photographie tells us all about this bohemian baby shower,
Back in October I planned, hosted, and photographed one of my best friend’s baby showers. I hosted her shower at my parent’s house in their backyard in Fairview, NC. The Blue Ridge Mountains surrounded us. My friend, Brittney, loves all things bohemian and the theme of her little girl Macrae’s nursery was bohemian. Therefore, the theme for her baby shower was Bohemian with lots of neutral colors (tan, ivory, white, brown, blush, and pops of terracotta and orange). We asked all of the guests to wear their favorite boho dress to the shower. For the florals, I asked for the florist to mix both dried elements (pampas grass, etc…) and roses, + other fresh flowers.
As for the balloon arch, I asked for neutral colors that would pair well with the floral pieces. For decor, we chose to go with long farm tables with mismatched chairs to add to the boho/carefree feel of the shower. For opening presents for the mom-to-be we used a Turkish rug, and peacock chair. We situated it in front of the balloon arch. The food we had at the shower was a salad bar, charcuterie grazing table (complete with nuts, bread, dips, fruits, crackers, etc.. that the mom to be could eat), gluten-free cake with dried florals, cake pops, iced sugar cookies, cake pops, macarons, and a make your own mom-osa bar. We had a beautiful time eating, drinking, and opening presents. We celebrated the mom-to-be as the sun went down over the mountains.
Finally, we can save all of these photos into our future baby shower boards. For example, we are going to need those exact cake pops…Looking for even more inspiration? Check out this Neutral Baby Shower With Modern Details!
