Monica Mendoza Photography gives us insight on all of the thought behind this backyard microwedding,
As many couples did in 2020, Ally and Will had to shift their plans for a big wedding celebration. They opted instead for transforming their home into a beautiful reception space. With the help of their family, they hired the an amazing creative team to bring the couple’s vision to life. Ally and Will wanted the guests to feel transported when they walked into their backyard. They also wanted an outdoor, not too formal ceremony and found the perfect setting at the Reeves Red Arboretum in Summit, NJ. This was a very intimate, small wedding, and Ally and Will thought of every detail to make this day memorable for all the guests.
Ally’s dress design was absolutely breathtaking, and I do not think she could have found a more perfect dress. It was designed locally as well. One of the most unique details of this wedding were the miniature paintings created by the groom’s mother as favors for each guest. Even though they had to reduce the number of guests, this wedding celebration felt like it was meant to be small from the beginning.
