If you are anything like us then you have been ready to host people for a long time now. In fact we have been ready since about a month into quarantine, so it’s safe to say we are so happy to be hosting friends and family very soon! That being said, we are ready to start getting our house in tip top shape, and that includes getting it clean. We can’t be the only ones that often forget some big ticket items that need deep cleaning. So, today on the blog are answering the golden question: What do I clean? Scroll on to see our top eight items we recommend cleaning.
1. Your Baseboards
Go, check your baseboards right now. If you can visibly see dust on them it’s time to give them a good clean. This is the fastest, simplest way to make your space feel so squeaky clean.
2. The Primary Bathroom
Whatever bathroom guests would be using is due for a good deep clean. We are talking a full toilet scrub, and sink scrub. You get the picture.
3. Dust, everything!
Ahhhh dust, there is nothing worse. Chances are you haven’t dusted everything (yes, everything) in your house in a while. Well, now’s your time, because nothing makes a house feel as dirty as dust does.
4. Your Refrigerator
It’s to clear out those year loft nasty leftovers in your refrigerator. Chances are, you have become accustomed to the smell coming from your fridge and were not even aware it could be stinking up your whole home.
5. Your Kitchen Sink
Did you know that the majority of odor in your home comes from your kitchen sink – and more specifically a clogged garbage disposal. Yuck. Give that bad boy a good vinegar rinse.
6. Your Doorknobs
It’s safe to say we all have learned a lot about germs in the last year. Well, one of our biggest take-aways was how dirty doorknobs are. Do your guests a favor and give your doorknobs a good clean.
7. Your Floors
If you haven’t done a good sweep and mop in a while then now is the time. We love to use a simple recipe, 2 parts warm water, and 1 part vinegar. We promise your floors will look brand new!
8. Any Patio Furniture
If you have patio furniture or plan on entertaining outside then we recommend giving your furniture a detail vacuum session.
