Who’s up for a camping trip? Today we’re taking you on a virtual trip to the great outdoors with this adorable “Camp Evan” boy’s birthday celebration! This little cutie got the ultimate camping-themed birthday party and we’re absolutely obsessed! From the adorable tent setup to the “night sky” balloon display, these details were perfection. Guests snacked on camping-themed cookies and created their own trail mix, and the kids loved the petting zoo – especially an extra friendly alpaca named Fable. Scroll down to take a look at this sweet party and see all of our favorite moments!

Classic themes are my favorite – it’s the best kind of creative challenge to find your own spin on themes that are so well loved. When Karen reached out to me to throw a first birthday party for her son, Evan, she referenced a black buffalo print camp party I had done a few years back as her inspo for the party. I knew this would be a fun challenge to pay homage to the inspiration, but make Evan’s party his own.
I love Dream Society’s Frenchie plates—their classic striped print was woven throughout the party, from SweetLeeMade’s modern cake and the striped mountains on the Invites from Minor Details CLE, to the decals from Creativeamme on the camping cup favors and of course the plates themselves!
Who knew food trays could be cute?! We upgraded those good ol’ trays you got as a kid at camp for refreshed black and white ones. I made a wooden mountain centerpiece and the kids table sat neatly under the moon and sky installation by Michelle Rogers Styling.
Whether you’re camping in the wilderness or the comfort of your backyard, it’s always a surprise and delight to spot a cute little critter. The Little Horse on the Prairie is the cutest traveling farm and Fable, their alpaca, made fast friends with the birthday boy and guests!
Though the sun is beaming bright in So Cal, this camp party is the perfect little winter theme!
