Whether you’re thirteen or going on thirty, there’s nothing better than a good old fashioned girls-night in with your besties – and Valentine’s day can be the perfect occasion! As much fun as it is to get dolled up for a night out, I find it just as satisfying to get together with my closest friends. We drink wine in our pajamas, reminisce and laugh until we cry with a good rom-com in the background. Luckily for me, our miniature golden-doodle, Brody, was even game to join in.

Charcuterie boards are always a good idea and we included several miniature versions, one for each guest, next to the styled place settings on our tabletop.  A small wooden bowl of mixed berries and chocolate were available for a sweet treat which paired well with our berry Moscow mules in copper mugs.

The real treat of the party, all puns intended, was the custom sugar cookies that were created to resemble slices of pizza, boxes of chocolate and even the Netflix logo – all of the elements of a good girls night in.  These were styled on a black buffet top with a portrait of one of my favorite couples, Elvis & Priscilla, on their wedding day. One of my favorite party tips is to repurpose items from around your home to style your occasion – this portrait typically hangs in my home office but was perfect for this occasion to serve as the backdrop for the display.

“Be There in a Prosecco” bells, which are a fun desk accessory, sat atop floral pink china plates and were favors that guests could take home with them. A fresh floral arrangement with fresh pops of pink and peach hues was the perfect addition and helped us remember that spring is not too far away.

A festive pink balloon garland, an easy and affordable DIY element, was styled in front of our pink couch. As if that wasn’t already the perfect touch for a Galentine’s slumber party we made sure to include some slumber party classics like the game MASH, a nail polish bar, ice cream, and some iconic rom-com. When it comes to celebrating these ideas are easy to include for this holiday- or any weekend for that matter!
