From the coordinator…
One of the things that I look forward to in fall is waking up on the weekends and making breakfast for my family. In our house, we are not huge pumpkin spice flavor folks, but we do heavily enjoy MAPLE. Inspired by sticky, gooey, and delicious maple, we created a minimalist approach for a fall wedding. Our flowers were all seasonal pieces that can be found in Oregon. Wildflower PDX brilliantly dried out some elements from a few weeks prior to utilize in the arrangements for a transformation of summer to fall. We decided to forgo an elaborate arch for the ceremony and instead used the clean and modern barn. However, we had such fun incorporating the beams in the barn with florals climbing up into the barn over the sweetheart table.
Our tablescape had featured multiple textures but maintained a neutral fall color pallet with pops of burgundy and contrast black for some sharp lines. We wanted to incorporate romantic tapered candles into the sweetheart table, a special moment for the bride and groom to have a private date for 20 minutes ON their wedding day.
Our panCAKE was perhaps our favorite piece of this wedding inspiration – it really took the cake! But seriously, Next Door Desserts slayed with a slack of real, authentic pancakes with buttercream layers in between. Topped with fondant butter, the couple came together to pour maple syrup atop and then dug into their stacks together. It was tasty, and our bride even took it over 🙂
For our bride attire, we had two different looks for our bride – both of which were minimalist. Our ceremony dress was an A-Line Justin Alexander with a translucent back with a gold zipper. This dress flowed and allowed our bride to dance up the aisle and spin with her new hubby. For her evening look, we kept the look sleek and she slipped into a Julia Leigh flit & flair which deliciously hugged her hips. Accessorized with rose gold, copper, and yellow gold, she glistened in the fall barn. Our groom, on the other hand, wore a sleek black suit complete with a satire pup pocket square and cafe covered tie with slim geometric lines. We loved that our stationery pieces were clean lines with a crisp finish. Complete with maple, apricot, and copper our stationery had serif font. Our menus were intentionally designed to pair with these simplistic pieces.
