Modern, elegant and dripping with luxe romance, this soft and dreamy Rancho Bernardo Inn backdrop was the perfect complement to a wistful courtyard wedding. The low hanging olive trees and romantic glow from the scattered lanterns nestled alongside the pathways or seen tucked below the trees were the inspiration behind this shoot. Sparkling Rose and lush garden roses coupled with black accents finished with a hint of gold were the details behind this beautiful sun-drenched celebration. Pretty pinks and mauve undertones softened the palette while the handsome black brought a sense of sophistication and luxe elegance to the scene. A bold splash of color paired well with the soft texture of the low hanging greenery, creating a romantic feel for a sweet “I do” in what felt like a Southern California dream.
Our color palette couples moody pinks and greens paired with black accents and cheerful whites. The soft blush glassware arranged with the black matte, gold-rimmed dinner plates allowed for an appealing and contemporary modern romance composition. The flower inspiration was created with a modern, romantic aesthetic in mind. The idea was to create a unique alter to frame the couple with an asymmetrical design paired with low cement bowls to ground the arrangements and stay true to the modern ambiance. The collection of textural elements such as the quicksand roses, scabiosa pods spirea and café ole dahlias created a romantic setting, while the clustered design and dried bismark palm leaves, pampas grass and hanging amaranthus kept it sleek and contemporary. Additionally, we incorporated some Azalea and Mandevilla plants to add a unique touch to this flower install.
Our modern tablescape offered hints of blush pastels, pops of fuchsia pinks, a touch of greenery and soft lush garden roses. Bold, matte, black aligned with gold accents brought the sophistication this dreamy, romantic tablescape demanded. Black pillared candles offered a soft glow beneath the elegance of the low hanging greens. Blush napkins were placed alongside the contemporary gold flatware finished with a pink accent floral and a simple blackberry. The light, whitewashed modern farmhouse table, and the chic white dining chairs were used to tie in the fresh and bright tones of the overall table letting the subtle color and pops of pink emphasize the simplistic yet sophisticated Rancho Bernardo Inn courtyard dining experience. Our models and the real couple brought their sense of glamour and playfulness to the elegance of the scene.
Wrapping up with a beautifully styled bar cart of assorted rose, a dessert station of artisan treats and a well-dressed and stylish wedding cake, the couple enjoyed a quiet moment alone to take it all in. Overall, the shoot aims to bring together a fresh pairing of modern, luxe romance with a dreamy Southern California escape to create an enchanting, stylish, retreat inspired with a touch of bold elegance, a clean splash of color, and plenty of pretty!
