Prepare to be transported to paradise, because you can practically taste the salt air, feel the sand between your toes, and smell the fresh plumeria that were present at this wedding, all by just panning through the photos! The couple chose to have a Kauai destination wedding, and while the island holds a special place in their hearts, why wouldn’t you want to be married in an oceanfront ceremony overlooking Hanalei Bay?! The ceremony took place in the shade with garlands of Plumeria hanging overhead and guiding the bride down the aisle. It was an intimate affair with close friends and family and as sweet as salty kisses. We think you’ll be blown away by the beauty on this page, so we won’t keep you any longer—happy viewing and mahalo!

Kylie and David met briefly at church in May of 2016. They chatted for a bit, nothing too serious, and David made sure to get Kylie’s phone number from her brother who was also there with his wife. Kylie received a call from David the next day and they went on their first date a few days later. It didn’t take long to know that they both had met someone who would become very special.
In February of 2017, David brought Kylie on a family trip to Princeville, Hawaii, on the island of Kauai. He had been vacationing here with his family for years. The trip went well and a few months later they were happily engaged! When it came time to begin wedding planning, they both knew that they wanted a destination wedding. The Princeville Resort seemed like the perfect fit!
In March of 2018, the couple was joined by family and close friends to celebrate their wedding. Before the ceremony, the couple had a private moment on the terrace overlooking beautiful Hanalei Bay. Here, they read their personal vows to one another. The ceremony took place by the ocean in the shade of large almond trees. White orchid garlands or “leis” in Hawaiian swung gently in the salty breeze. The rest of the decor kept to the green and white tropical theme. The couple incorporated some Hawaiian elements into the ceremony, one being the washing of rings in the ocean water. They each held the other’s wedding band in a small “koa” wood bowl filled with water collected from the near by sea.
The reception dinner was a laidback affair by the pool. The decor comprised of neutral tones with tropical green and white floral decor. After heartwarming toasts, the newlyweds enjoyed bites from the cinnamon roll “cake” and then danced in the moonlight.
