The color palette couldn’t be more spring-ready and the style couldn’t be cooler. This modern turquoise and peach wedding takes place at The Unique Space in DTLA, where there is no shortage of character. The vibe of this venue is old meets new, like a lot of downtown Los Angeles, and the vendors did a fabulous job of accentuating that. They did so with classic elements like paper goods with traditional calligraphy and more unique touches like seaglass and trending fashion. The couple changed from light and whimsical ceremony outfits to evening attire that was edgier and exuded couture flair. You’ll drool over designer Vene Ai‘s stunning gowns on the gorgeous bride. Read on for what photographer, Erich Chen has to say about the inspiration.
For this wedding inspiration shoot, we embraced the contrast of old with the new and the delightful colors that make The Unique Space in DTLA truly a one of a kind venue. We wanted to create an atmosphere that embraced the essence of light and color we found throughout this venue, sparking joy around every turn. With the use of peach, coral, turquoise and sea glass, we created a kaleidoscope of colors and textures across our tablescape and altar. Vibrant, inviting and built for a personalized experience across every seat in the house. We encouraged eyes to wander and guests to play finding hidden Easter eggs such as kumquats, artichokes, petite personal sized desserts and capiz shell place cards designed to give them a special experience.
