For this special day, the mama-to-be wanted this to be different than your typical baby blue boy shower. Her and her husband got married in Lake Tahoe in the summer of 2016 and figured it would be perfect to carry out a Tahoe vibe throughout the baby shower as well as his nursery. Wanting to stray from the normal baby shower with lots of baby blues, we created a chic woodland baby shower party filled with wooden accents and lots of greenery with pops of white and shades of blue.
The invitations really set the tone for the entire event. From the shade of blue and green to the watercolor bear, every detail was well thought out. The venue is dreamy and already had a lot of blue and white accents, which was perfect for a baby boy shower. As guests arrived, they mingled over “Mom-osa’s” and Bloody Mary’s. Guests took photos in front of the wooden backdrop and found their seats by finding their wooden laser etch name on checker napkins! The mama-to-be sat at the head of the private dining room table which had a mama-to-be sign on the back of her chair. After brunch, the mama-to-be moved to a light blue velvet vintage chair to open gifts! Guests played games, watched as presents (& lots of books – we did the books instead of a card) were opened, and enjoyed the array of desserts; lemon & snickerdoodle cake, mini donuts, mini cinnamon rolls, cupcakes, and custom cookies.
