Every good party needs a good theme! Or so we’ve come to believe thanks to the team at Golden Arrow Events (see their skills here and here!) who can take a simple card and create something magical out of it! More on that below, where the fearless leader, Melissa, shares the inspiration for this “You Got Me Twisted” Valentine’s Day Celebration! Any guesses as to the theme? We’ll give you a hint… it’s salty and, well, twisted ;). But it’s more than just a cute theme! The party features fun balloons, pretty blooms, sweet desserts, and so many hearts it hurts (in a good way)!
Melissa shares, Valentine’s Day brings so many fun childhood memories of baking special treats and creating fun Valentine’s! Sabrina and I love continuing these special traditions with our little ones. But most of all, we love creating inspiration for other parents to create special memories with their families. So this year, when we were coming up with our concept for our styled shoot, we fell in love with Daydream Society’s “love note” collection. The gold pretzel in the paper goods really stood out to our lead designer, Sabrina. She thought it would be fun to put a “twist” on the typical heart theme party. So for the color scheme we kept to the traditional pink theme and mixed in metallic gold to add that modern touch.
We enlisted Creative Amme, one of our favorite vendors to work with, to bring our fun pretzel ideas to life with fun stir sticks, customized place cards, and backdrop signage. The heart and letter X balloons from Northstar and Qualatex definitely made the perfect backdrop. Every Valentine’s celebration needs delicious sweets and florals. The lovely ladies at Sugar Crush Sweets always prepare the most beautiful array of desserts. But I would have to say my heart burst with excitement when I saw this adorable custom cake with playful pretzel details. Lastly, we all know every girl loves florals, and our girl Katie from Bottles + Blooms didn’t disappoint with her beautiful blooms.
