A New Years Eve wedding is the perfect way to ring in 2019, wouldn’t you say?! On the verge of the new millennium’s 20s, the vendors had a The Great Gatsby themed wedding in mind – and they executed it beautifully! The black white and gold wedding features silver and teal wedding accents such as metallic balloons and the ceremony backdrop. In addition to the color palette, the mix of modern and vintage 1920s elements is truly unique. From the bride’s perfect art-deco gown and jumpsuit for the reception, to the gold flecked donuts for dessert, we love it all! Vintage, luxe, or funky – this New Years Eve wedding has something for everyone! Not to mention, the perfect balloon-drop moment for midnight! And what’s New Years without a little bubbly? The awesome bar made sure no one celebrated without a toast – cheers!
The team at Leilani weddings shares…
Inspired by the modern yet eclectic vibe of Los Angeles’ Hotel Indigo, we wanted to create a 1920’s-style shoot that was luxurious and classic with a modern twist. We used the hotel’s natural architecture and interesting details (obsessed with the marble staircase and gold geometric-shaped light fixtures!) as inspiration, and added funky black and white details with pops of gold and teal. Together, they made for a luxurious Gatsby-inspired scene.
Our models oozed elegance and class, as they sipped on MacAllan and basked in the natural sunlight that streamed through the hotel’s floor to ceiling windows. The warmth of the bride’s red lip and rusty-colored bouquet paired with the groom’s crisp white tux was balanced perfectly by the black and silver balloons. To be perfect for New Year’s Eve, we incorporated a balloon drop, masquerade masks on each place setting, and clock motifs throughout. We are feeling inspired for 2019 and we hope you are too! Happy New Year!
