‘‘Twas the night before Christmas on Gingerbread Lane, where sugar plums danced with striped candy canes.” ✨✨✨
Our inspiration for this Gingerbread house decorating party was a mix between Candyland and Hansel & Gretel. Gingerbread parties can often be a big jumbled mess, and as moms we know that attempting to make them look pretty seems next to impossible! Here are a few tips on hosting a successful (and pretty ?) gingerbread house making party:
1. Pick a color scheme and only buy candy that goes with your color palette. It’s less overwhelming and makes the colors look consistent and clean.
2. Remove any rugs or furniture that cannot wipe clean! This is key for easy and painless cleanup!
3. Pre-assemble the gingerbread houses with a glue gun! This saves tons of time and lots of tears because of crashing rooftops.
4. Divide frosting into small ziplock bags so that each guest gets their own. Cut a small slit in the corner to squeeze frosting out.
Gingerbread House Party Supplies:
Mini gingerbread house kit
Glue gun
Assorted candy (in coordinating party colors)
Paper plates
Ziploc baggies for icing
Containers for candy (i.e. bowls or jars)
Lots of baby wipes 😉
