This post is in partnership with Tuesday Morning. Thank you for supporting the brands that support Inspired by This!
Welcoming people into our homes is one of our favorite activities – but when doing so, we like to make sure our space is not only tidy, but warm and inviting too. We want them to feel right at home as soon as they walk through the door! So, we partnered with Tuesday Morning to refresh our entryway in order to welcome guests in a beautiful way. With a few simple tips, we’ll show you how to style your entryway in a manner that is ready for all the hosting to come this holiday season!
1. Make The Most of Every Surface
We wanted to utilize every inch of the entry and the credenza there, and thankfully, Tuesday Morning had SO many great accessories to fill it with. With such a large surface area, we knew we needed larger accessories, paired with a few smaller ones to ensure it looked balanced and wasn’t too cluttered. For starters, this lamp made all the difference! It was love at first site, thanks to the timeless style, neutral color, and perfect size. Plus, when placed on the near side of the credenza, its height is just right to draw your eye up as you enter the home.
To further fill the space, we purchased bud vases to stack on books, a larger vase, which we filled with some faux foliage we found, pinecones and a plant. We couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!
2. Incorporate Color and Texture
Tuesday Morning has been our go-to shop for a while (see our best holiday finds here!) because they offer such a variety of goods and styles. We always easily find new and exciting pieces whether we are looking for seasonal decor or timeless staples. When decorating this space, we wanted to incorporate soft colors that blended with the rest of the home, various heights, and seasonal textures. This time of year, we love having plenty of blankets around, and this faux sheep skin throw is the perfect thing! By filling baskets with cozy throws, and vases with pinecones and greenery, we were able to create a subtle festive vibe, as well as dimension.
With white walls and a white floating cabinet, we knew we needed color to bring life to the entryway. The ocean-blue vase is one of our favorite finds for both it’s pretty color and patterned texture. With sprigs of faux greenery placed inside, it was exactly what we were looking for! We also found the cutest bud vases in complementary shades of grey and jade that when stacked on books brought a necessary variation of height. Color and height naturally draw your eye across the cabinet, and help give it the finished look it so needed.
3. Keep it Budget Friendly
Home decor can add up quickly, which is one of the big reasons why we love Tuesday Morning. As we near the holidays, we’re more budget conscious than ever as we shop for gifts and plan for entertaining, so it’s important that we keep decor costs down. But that doesn’t mean we have to sacrifice style. No, sir! When filling a glass cabinet like this one, glassware, books, etc. add up fast! Tuesday Morning has plenty of unique pieces, from decorative goblets to trinkets, that you’ll want to have on display at a fraction of the cost compared to what you could spend elsewhere.
We found so many treasures for super affordable prices, and thus, were able to transform the space. Some of the biggest “steals” in our eyes are the amazing wooden end table and woven pouf. These items sell for hundreds of dollars elsewhere, but at Tuesday Morning, each was only $29.99! You can’t beat that! We had been searching for something to fill the void in the entry, and together these items were perfect.
Now, our entryway makes a big impact. You could say, it has us at “Hello”. To find affordable treasures for your home, shop your local Tuesday Morning!
