You guys… this wedding is a dream boat! Speaking of boats, we wish we could’ve acted as paparazzi in a canoe on the lake viewing the special ceremony under a Spanish moss tree from afar. Yep, it’s that beautiful! The elegant lake wedding features gorgeous gold and deep red colors, a lace wedding gown that seems to have been made for the bride, and Mexican flair. And did we mention that tree?! Just wait until you see it…
The bride says, From the beginning of planning our big day there were 3 non-negotiables. There had to be good food, good music, and an unforgettably fun dance party. Since we are obsessed with the culture and food of Mexico, so it was a no-brainer to have a taco bar buffet for our wedding complete with spicy jalapeño margaritas and micheladas for our signature drinks.
Doe Lake Campground is a beautiful sprawling lake-front property with acres and acres of trees romantically draped with spanish moss. There are areas designated for camping and for RVs. However, the star of the property is the restored 1930’s mess hall with vaulted ceilings and insanely dreamy wooden architecture. The campground came with pretty bare kitchen and nothing but 15 picnic tables, so we had to bring everything else in- everything from tables and games from the rental company to caterers and bartenders to serve food and drink (and every last thing in between).
What a gorgeous setting!!
Every detail of this wedding is to die for!!
Obsessed with the smores bar!
