One of the things we get excited for most during the holiday season is brainstorming (and pinning!) how to wrap gifts creatively this year. We like to pick one night to sip hot chocolate, turn on our favorite Christmas movies, reflect on the year that we’ve had, and knock out wrapping all our gifts. Whether it be dressing up plain craft paper, or mixing and matching prints, we’ve gathered our favorite creative holiday gift wrap ideas for every DIY’er!
Minimal Clay Gift Tags

These tags are so simple yet add the most special touch to your gifts – you can even have the kids join in! Due to the fact that you can stamp anything you want, these make for the perfect gift toppers all year round. We tend to lean towards how simple and minimal they are, but feel free to paint or decorate them as well!

With this cute gift wrapping idea, stockings aren’t only hung by the fireplace with care, but also strung onto presents! We think this quick little DIY adds so much fun flair to simple packaging!
Painted on Strings

We all know that gift wrapping typically gets ripped open within seconds and thrown into the recycle bin, which is why some of us like to keep our holiday gift wrap ideas a bit more practical. All you need for these adorable packages is craft paper, a small paint brush, and black paint. I don’t think it could get any easier!

If you don’t like the look of your handwriting on packages (guilty), try out this cute and sentimental idea for gift tags! Print out black & white photos of you with the recipient and tie them on with a bow! The recipient will not only enjoy the gift, but love recollecting on the story of the photo!

Star Garland

We first started seeing stars at NYC’s Bridal Fashion Week and we knew it was a trend that we wanted to hang on to. This star garland is modern and gives you the ability to keep a monochromatic color palette or even go wild with color if it fits your fancy!
Calligraphy Gift Tags

We love anything that has to do with hand lettering, especially during the holidays! We especially love how easy these downloadable and printable tags are. Just print, trim and punch a hole for your ribbon! We’re also thinking of using twine to add to any baked goods we may be delivering to neighbors this year 😉
Homemade Wrapping Paper

This is one of our favorite holiday gift wrap ideas! Wrapping paper can often be picked over as we head into mid-December and we can’t always find exxxactly what we’re looking for. Why not create your own? All you need to create multiple different designs is scissors, gold tape, black and white twine, a white paint marker and greenery (evergreen and eucalyptus work great!).

Love all of these!
Can’t wait to try this weekend!
