There’s a baby girl on the way for A Blissful Soiree! And she celebrated the moment and commemorated her pregnancy with her hubby and these beautiful Joshua Tree maternity photos. They brought the cutest props (hello, gold mylar balloons) and roamed the desert landscape. Thankfully, Esther Lee was there to capture it all! Here’s how it went down:
I was debating whether or not to do a maternity session for myself because to be honest, I wasn’t comfortable in my own skin. but then i realized what a blessing and gift a child is and wanted to document this moment, especially since it is my first child. My husband and I did our anniversary shoot at Salvation Mountain and the Salton Sea with Esther Lee and wanted to do another outdoor shoot with her.
We absolutely fell in love with Joshua Tree and chose it for our maternity shoot. I was so excited to find out that we were going to have a baby girl. I chose a scripture that I’ve turned to since finding out about my pregnancy and had Sarah Ku make a print for the shoot. I wanted to also incorporate some fun props such as gold balloons and little pink toms. In the end, I absolutely loved how the pictures came out and am really glad I chose to do a maternity shoot. I’m even more happy now because our baby girl arrived 2.5 weeks early and sometimes I miss being pregnant. But looking at these pictures reminds me of what a precious time it is that a mother has with her child in the womb.
Aww! So, so sweet!
