Beautiful Pastel and Gold Nursery

There’s no getting around it – this nursery is B.E.A.utiful! From a soft and feminine color palette to the signature swan details, the pastel and gold nursery is a baby girl’s dream! Katelyn, of Kate Rose Creative Group, designed her daughter’s room with sentiment and taste (Leave it to the Wedding & Event stylist to nail it!). Below she shares Claire Falco’s images of the sweet nursery and where she found inspiration.

When it came to designing my daughter’s nursery I knew I wanted it to be simple, clean and gorgeous. I am pretty much obsessed with cream and white because I love how clean and simple the palette is, so I started there. I ordered the white bed, white dresser and cream wool rug.Blush and peach tones are my favorite, so I knew I wanted to accent with those colors as well. Lastly, gold accents were a given once I found the antique chandelier and two vintage swans.

I had my eyes on swans even before I was pregnant. I was visiting my Grandmother and noticed she had swans throughout her house. All these years and I had never noticed. I was set on swans after that. The white swan in the nursery was gifted to me from her at my baby shower. Our daughter’s name is Hallie RoseRose being after her. I loved being able to bring in my love for her into our special space.

I am not big on themes for rooms, so I didn’t want to go heavy on the floral or on the swans. The floral wall was a splurge but so worth it! The flowers were hand cut and painted out of crepe paper. They are stunning and added a good pop of color to the room.

Once I found the big plush swan from Land of Nod, I knew I wanted to have that as the focal point of the room. I added a little floral for color. The teepee was made by a friend and was added in last minute to add height to the room. With a little floral accent at the top, the teepee was the perfect addition to the room.

The quote above the bed is my favorite quote and one I would love my daughter to live by. The white elephant in the crib is the first thing I purchased when I found out I was pregnant but wasn’t sure what gender we were having.

It was really important to me to bring in memories and loved ones into the space. So, the framed quote in calligraphy is the lyrics to the song my mother sang to me growing up. It is one of my favorite things about the nursery. Additionally, the knit sweater on the dresser belonged to my little sister who passed away.
