What is beautiful, romantic, and soft all over? This natural wedding inspiration in a wheat field on our wedding blog today! Like a scene out of a small town movie, it’s completely calm with no one else around, it’s almost sunset, and the main couple is strolling through a wheat field. Swoon! Megan Welker along with a team of talented vendors did an amazing job of bringing that peaceful essence to life throughout the shoot. From the prettiest pale florals and ethereal sweetheart gown to the way the light shines through the wooden slits in the barn, it’s positively dreamy. Wether you’re a bride who loves a pink & greenery color palette or rustic decor, you’ll be smitten with this style.
Megan says, This shoot was inspired by the Pantone color of the year. We wanted to pull pops of that green throughout the shoot and loved the arch Laurie from Fleurie made for the ceremony spot. Plus, the gorgeous wheat fields that surround Westwood Barns in the springtime were the perfect extra pop of green. We wanted to show how you can incorporate nature into your wedding or event. And there really is nothing prettier than wheat fields! I loved how Laurie even incorporated wheat into the floral designs, how Courtney from PoppyJack customized each name card on ribbon that we tied around bunches of wheat, and how the table, settings and textiles complimented the barn and surrounding area perfectly. The place itself is gorgeous so we didn’t need (or want) much to take away from it.
