Oh Disneyland. The happiest place on earth… for your little ones. On the other hand, it can be quite hectic, overwhelming, and expensive for parents. But that doesn’t have to be the case! We figured out a few things that make for a successful Disney trip for both mom & kiddo, and thought it basically our duty to pass them along! Before your next trip to the land of Mickey Mouse, make sure you read these tips to make going to Disneyland with kids easy (or close to it!).
1. Bring a Carrier
If your child can still be worn in a carrier, this is the way to go! We love the Baby Bjorn for its ease, comfort, and support; all which are necessary when navigating the foot traffic of Main Street.
2. Go With Your Mom Squad
There’s nothing better than moral support when it comes to Disneyland. Having the extra set of eyes on your kiddos, friends to chat with in lines, and play mates makes Disneyland not only more manageable but more fun! Plus, no one understands the struggle better than fellow moms! This way you can ensure you will all be on the same page when it comes to rides & breaks.
3. Prep Your Stroller
Did you know you need to park and leave your stroller (unattended!) every time you go on a ride? Make the hassle minimal by leaving all valuables at home and maybe even put some sort of marker on your stroller so you never get it mixed up! When it comes to strollers that are easy to maneuver, we love the Uppa Baby stroller with the 2 seat attachments if you have a small baby and toddler. Another great option is the double BOB Stroller if both of your kids are a little older.
4. Protect Your Kids & Yourself
To add to the list of things to bring, you will want to make sure you pack sunscreen, hand sanitizer, and a hat! Disneyland days are long days, often spent in the sun, so you will want all the sun protection you can get. Plus, we hate to say it, but you never know who was touching those ride bars and carousels before you so a little hand sanitizer never hurts!
5. Don’t Forget Water!
This lesson we learned the hard way when one little one became dehydrated at the end of a long day in the park. Pack or be prepared to buy water bottles (constantly!). And make sure your kiddos don’t have the same problem.
This is perfect!
