For the ultimate celebration, this mom-to-be threw a hot pink and teal gender neutral baby shower. Christine, of Engaging Affairs, brought in color coordinating giant balloons to turn the backyard BBQ into a party. She mirrored the balloons all around with hot pink polka dot linens and rounded floral arrangements. In addition to the candy colored color scheme, vintage candy shop rentals were placed around the party to serve up food, drinks, and even cotton candy! Doesn’t it sound fun!? We love how the parents-to-be and friends went all out with color instead of sticking to a traditional theme. This theme is especially great if you are keeping the gender of your baby a surprise.

Baby showers are such sweet, celebratory events, and when one is hosted by a talented wedding planner, you know you’re in for a party to remember! Christine, with her incredible eye she has the ability to turn any event into something spectacular. She and her husband are expecting their first baby later this fall after a long journey with IVF to make their family complete. They decided to celebrate this joyful event by inviting their closest friends and family over for a late summer BaBy-Q in their beautiful Virginia home!
Christine opted for a hot pink and teal color scheme- such a fun twist on the trendy pastels. She based her design around the unexpected color palette, polka dots, and baby animals. From the oversized balloons adorning the swimming pool to the gorgeous hot pink floral statement pieces to greet guests as they walked in, Christine included countless fun details that blended flawlessly throughout the event. My favorite elements were the vintage drink cart and the most adorable baby animal cake crafted by Fluffy Thoughts.
I couldn’t be more excited for this sweet couple to welcome their new baby in a few short weeks! I loved being able to capture this beautiful afternoon to celebrate the new addition!
