Switzerland is the place most people think of when the think of the Alps – and rightfully so! The incredible Mountain range fills this country with beauty. However, the villages and cities within it have much more to offer than scenery! Here are a few you absolutely must visit along the way.
Head to Interlaken for ski lifts, cable cars, and spectacular views. Then head on to Zermatt and take a funicular up to view the famous Matterhorn peak. Finally take The Centovalli Railway from Ascona over breathtaking bridges and see cascading waterfalls and deep gorges and crevices. If you decide along the way, that you would like to enjoy a more relaxed route you can always choose a different itinerary that is more focused on castle tours or scenery.
Finally, no matter when you get married the European Alps are a great honeymoon destination. However, we do recommend the Spring, Summer, and Fall if you are itching to participate in all the outdoor adventures! This will also be the easiest time of year to travel by car or train throughout the Alpine region.
