This lavender French baby shower is inspired by the parents to-be’s favorite parts of the fabulous country. From a pastel color palette, to vintage furniture, and gold decor, it’s soft and elegant. The ornately decorated tables, lounge area, and formal stationery continue the theme. It’s just as the expecting mama wanted and beyond beautiful – what more could you ask for?
Mama to be and planner Christiane shares…
After relocating to France for four months as part of my husband’s ongoing training, we were so pleased to find out that we had brought home the very best souvenir- a baby boy! When it came to planning the baby shower, along with my Mom and sister, we set out to share our favorite parts of our experiences in France. Excelsior, with its mix of old and new architecture, set the perfect stage for the day. We worked with Jimmy Duffy’s on a french inspired menu. We also featured lions throughout the design as an homage to Lyon, France. Instead of a traditional guest book, guests wrote love notes inside of the childrens’ book, Le Petit Prince. The cake even featured an excerpt from the book. The inscription translates to “what is essential is invisible to the eye.”
Finally, lavender sachet bags doubled as escort cards and favors. Petals Lane also worked in fresh lavender to the floral designs throughout the event. Walking in to the shower immediately took me back to our beautiful stay in Lyon! I’ll always cherish the memories we made on this day.
So cute!
stunning!
