You’re in for a sweet treat on our baby blog today. Juice Box Media‘s baby girl, Lucie turned one, so what better place to celebrate than Sweet Lucie’s ice cream shop?! They pulled out all the stops with a fab team of vendors, led by Alexis from The Shift Creative. Talk about a dream birthday celebration for any one-year old! Especially one that loves bananas :).
Juice Box Media says, When our little babe Lucie turned one, we thought it would be adorable to take some photos at Sweet Lucie’s Scoop Shop in Mar Vista. The only thought for a theme at first was bananas because Lucie’s favorite food is bananas. Once Sweet Lucie’s was on board, it was like a dream! We came up with a wish list of amazing talent in this industry to bring together, and one by one, they not only said yes, but brought their A-game.
Okay, and you can’t have a banana themed party without Bananas By Hannah! She brought her party cart to the shop and served up chocolate covered, rainbow sprinkled banana bites to the littles. Needless to say, they LOVED it. To take it over the top, Sweet Lucie’s and Bananas By Hannah joined dessert forces to create a modern twist on the banana split. SO yummy!
The tables were filled with the stunning tableware from Borrowed Blu. Their copper tumblers filled with milk were made complete with stir sticks created by Delovely Details. They also made the amazing wood cut signs that read, “This is Bananas,” “I love Lucie,” and “B-A-N-A-N-A-S”. Perfectly complementing the table setting were florals from Fleurs and invites from Minted.
The team at 24 Carrots Catering crafted the cutest baby brunch menu including homemade Nilla wafer sandwiches, with peanut butter and banana, mini banana bread loaves, and homemade granola. They also made treats for the favor bags from Minted consisting of homemade banana chips, graham crackers, and candy bananas. PoppyJack Shop added her beautiful calligraphy to the mix on gold cards labeling each food item.
Lucie wore a comfy banana dress (what else?) from Kira Kids and her siblings wore the softest outfits from Ode to Jeune. As you can tell, there were so many elements to put together, and we cannot speak highly enough of Alexis from The Shift Creative. Her eyes have this keen ability to make order and beauty out of chaos. Alexis and her team made the rainbow sprinkles wall and the pink painted bananas (yes, REAL bananas painted pink!) backdrop. She styled each set up to make the job easier for Megan Welker Photography and Juice Box Media. I mean just look at the adorable photos and video…, we’re not a one year old anymore, but we’re drooling over this sweet party!
I love the idea of the confetti on the wall. This would a cute idea for any kind of party!
