Romantic ‘First Look’ Photos

From Jessica Lynn Photography, Hannah reached out to me and asked if i would be able to shoot a first look for her and her soon-to-be hubby. She explained that she wanted to have a photoshoot two days before her big day to assure her enough time for romantic portraits during golden hour.

Hannah and Matt met in Idaho while in college and knew they had found the one. Matt and Hannah have a very inspiring kind of love. The kind of love that makes everyone who is around them feel giddy inside.

Moments leading up to their first look Matt was smiling from ear to ear saying how he couldn’t sleep at night, anxious to see his future bride. Hannah walked up and they both took a moment to soak in all the feelings before their grand reveal. Then the first look happened and I held back my sappy tears capturing these beautiful moments between this couple.

It was a magical session and I am truly honored to have been the one to capture this. Before I became a wedding photographer, I never thought doing a first look was a good idea just because I like to stick to traditions, but now i suggest this idea to my clients all the time. It truly is a special moment in a couple’s love. You don’t have to worry about the guests who are eagerly waiting to congratulate you and it allows you to embrace that raw and intimate moment, calm your nerves and just hold each other tight.

The bride wore a beautifully beaded dress from BHLDN. The long sleeves were a perfect touch for a fall wedding. Her makeup was done by Aubrey Laine artistry and her hair was done by Veronica Gonzalez. The bouquet was a diy, done by myself and same for the boutonniere.
