Intimate Zion National Park Wedding

We have a true beut for you on our wedding blog with this Zion National Park Wedding. Yes, you read that correctly – this couple channeled their outdoorsy spirits and married among the AWEsome rocks of Zion where they had spent so much time together. We couldn’t think of a more beautiful spot for them to begin this new journey together, and boy did they look good doing so! Kaitlyn in a BHLDN gown and Sean in a navy suit, the bride and groom were a match for the scenery.

From the Bride…

For Sean and I, I wish I could tell you a love story that involves lots of fireworks and flashing signs however our love story is a very simple one. We met in 2009 when I started working at the same restaurant that he worked at. We became good friends first, and our relationship really just developed over time which I’m grateful for because before anything, we’ve always been friends. We enjoyed each others company and began spending more and more time together until suddenly we both recognized that our love for each other was becoming something deeper that neither of us wanted to be without.

We have a lot of fun together. Sean will always be young at heart – he will keep me kicking, I’m sure. I am very much a free spirit and Sean has a unique way of making sure I stay well grounded. He really does balance me out. I like to think I balance him out too. I add a little crazy, wild, unruly emotion to his life. Basically, he keeps things fun and light and I keep things unpredictable and interesting.

Sean and I find our solace in nature. We love to camp, and backpack, and explore all that nature has to offer. Living in Utah, we have many chances to take advantage of the great outdoors. We chose Zion as our wedding location because it’s a place that is very dear to us. We’ve spent so much time hiking and camping in Zion, and while planning our wedding, we knew we wanted to get our friends and family together in a beautiful place. Zion was that place for us. Not only is it magnificent, but it’s a place where we’ve shared sweet memories together and a place that we really truly love. The most incredible part of our wedding day was being with everyone that we cherish in such an awe inspiring place. To us, Zion National Park is a sacred place and to be surrounded by it’s beauty and the love of our friends and family was such a powerful experience for us.
