Once upon a time, at a stunning family owned vineyard in Sonoma, CA, a young couple embarked on a new life together – and it was beautiful! This blush elopement on our wedding blog today is whimsical and romantic and we’re loving every bit of it! From the stunning scenery to the bride’s blush tulle gown (Gah!) this elopement is a lot of pretty with a little flair. Keep reading to get all the details from planner, Courtney Cargile:
This elopement took place at Campovida, an organic winery, garden and venue in Hopland, California. This venue has it all…hanging grape vines and willow branches, rustic barn, pond overlook, vineyard views & plenty of flowers, herbs and other botanical plants.
Our bride was dressed in an ethereal Watters pink lace bodice bridal gown from Bliss Bridal & Black Tie in Petaluma, CA and soft, natural makeup by Artistry by Danika to compliment the soft tones of the dress.
PoppyStone Floral Couture created the one-of-a-kind cascading floral chandelier using a monochromatic ombre palette that graduated from deep pinks into lightest blushes. The seasonal bouquet featured a multi- textural floral menu of local garden roses, peonies, tuberose, anemone, ranunculus, coleus leaf, bella donna, hydrangea and dusty miller.
The stunning ceremony took place under a 600+ year old Oak Tree. The massive branches create a natural canopy for the Bride & Groom and their guests. The Lux Productions erected a custom draped arch with Poppystone’s luscious design completing the look. The Bride & Groom arrived to their ceremony in style with a ’71 Mercedes-Benz 280SL Mercedes-benz provided by DB Autosportif.
The design for the interior of the barn really started with a particular linen from LaTavola. Courtney Cargile found the “Emperor Ivory” linen and was immediately drawn to its soft pastel colors and detailed floral pattern. If you look closely you will also see a blue peacock hidden within the fabric. With this soft color palate in mind, she set out to create a romantic and unique table setting. We set the table with a plethora of candles and cut glass dinnerware to reflect the light. Then Lux Productions matched this with with their own custom cut glass swag lamps inside a wine barrel chandelier. Again, Poppystone’s masterful cascading floral arrangement and over-indulgent centerpieces gave the table that opulent feel.
The night continued with a private movie screening waiting behind the curtains. The Lux Productions built a magnificent screen with hanging Edison bulbs and soft draping. Guests were able to indulge on their favorite movie candies while watching the romantic feature while lounging in the cozy viewing room.
Joel Kling of Edge Fog Films was on hand throughout the day to capture the sweet moments between this beautiful couple.
