To kick off the wedding festivities, this couple hosted a vibrant al fresco welcome reception for their guests. Inspired by latin culture, the florals are brightly colored and fill beautiful Terracotta pots. Against the white lounge furniture and rustic setting, they truly pop! We love the idea of welcoming guests with a laid back cocktail party like this one, or with a fun welcome bag (or both!) if you’re having a destination wedding. We mean, why not celebrate your wedding all weekend long? Hey, keep it going with a post-wedding brunch too!
Designer, Michel B Events shares, The wedding for Carolina & Ethan started with a Welcome Reception at the OVI private estate, Casa Elar. We created a rustic latin vibe. Wood plank flooring over the pool ( to allow for 185 guests to attend), bright vibrant florals and fruits balanced with a mix of white and wood to create relaxing vignettes. Lighting was key and we added thousands of twinkling lights throughout the property. Signature margaritas were served including an Ojai pixie “Tangerita”. On Friday, the bride wore Rebecca Vallance with Stuart Weitzman shoes and Ippolita gold hoop earrings.
