A rustic vineyard wedding never loses it’s charm on us. The bride & groom wanted something soft, romantic, and centered on family & friends, and that’s exactly what they got. From A to Z, this wedding was executed in elegant, intimate fashion. The neutral color palette incorporated soft grays, cream, and touches of blush. Can you get more soft and romantic than that? The bride shares their inspiration below as well as all the details that went into making this day special.
From the Bride…
I had always dreamt of a “Summer” wedding, it always just seemed fitting for me and my personality! Plus, after watching Bride Wars I wanted to be a June bride ;). When Ryan and I moved to the Bay Area I was encouraged to explore the beautiful wineries in Livermore. After a bit of research I had successfully made a list of my top three venue choices. Ryan and I then decided to make a day out of wine tasting and venue choosing. I vividly remember driving up to Crooked Vine and instantly falling in love! Growing up in the Central Valley of California in a family of Dairy Farmers, I was used to being outside and amongst beautiful landscapes.
First of all, settling on a soft, neutral romantic color palette was easy. I also wanted to focus on the little details because, in my opinion, that is what our guests would remember and what would set our wedding apart. My mom and sister were a tremendous help the entire year of planning. My mom would collect items from Vintage Flea Markets and other Antique stores in my hometown of Clovis, California. In addition, she hand made the chairs Ryan and I sat in to eat our first meal as man and wife. She also baked (homemade) chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, and sugar cookies as my favors; they were a HUGE hit!
My heart was set on having a wedding surrounded by family and friends that was also truly touched by love. Ryan and I have had such a unique relationship with many trials and triumphs, and it was finally time to plan my fairytale day with my real life prince charming. The entire day was perfect! It really represented Ryan and I as a couple as well as the love story we created together.
