These two couldn’t be cuter in their rustic glam Malibu engagement session! The pair is taking our wedding blog by storm with the little-bit-fancy, lot-of-fun, photos. From a bottle of Veuve and dapper duds to running wild through the waves, it will satisfy whatever your style. Below, the bride shares just why this rustic glam theme was right for them. Oh, and get ready to swoon at Sergey Green‘s gorgeous portraits.
The bride says, My fiancé and I met our senior year of college. It was pretty unusual – my girlfriends and I actually rented the studio apartment outside of our house to him. We realized we shared the same passion for reading, traveling, and Radiohead, and we were officially dating within three months!
He surprised me last Labor Day weekend with a beautiful proposal and romantic trip to The Langham in Pasadena. Three days later, we left for a whirlwind vacation through Europe! We absolutely love experiencing new places, and it was so amazing being able to celebrate our engagement by traveling the world together.
We chose to do a two part engagement shoot, and chose our locations in order to showcase the beauty of our home state, California. For the first part, we loved the idea of glamour juxtaposed with the rustic feel of Malibu Creek State Park, and chose to celebrate with my favorite champagne. I was an actress as a child, and I always loved dressing up, so this part was really fun for me! We wanted to do the second part of our shoot by the ocean, and chose to finish at El Matador State Beach at sunset.
