By now, we all know Joshua Tree has some pretty spectacular scenery that lends itself super well to engagement sessions and other photoshoots. This couple decided to take advantage of the locale’s cool plants and desert terrain as the backdrop for their love story – and it definitely took center stage! With a whole lot of laughter and fun, photographer Alexes Lauren captured the pair’s playful Joshua Tree engagement photos in a way that shows off their vibrant relationship so well. She says, “These two were so much fun! We spent about two hours hanging out in Joshua tree laughing, chatting and just getting to know each other. They wanted something to depict their time together and they love being outdoors and not being too serious, so I really wanted to capture them just enjoying each other’s company.” We think she nailed it!
The groom, Josh, playfully shares their love story here…
Josh was a lonely vampire, damned to an eternity of vices. Heidi was an innocent girl from a small town, sheltered yet curious….oh wait you’ve heard that one?
Josh and Heidi met the old fashioned way, at a bar, without the use of any technology. Josh was immediately drawn to Heidi’s beauty and coy smile. No one is really sure what may have caught her eye, but hey, she doesn’t have the greatest vision. What really struck accord for these two was their first conversation. Time slipped away through a lot of laughs and…yeah, flirting. However, timing wasn’t right for them when they met. After a couple of random chance encounters a friendship developed. Conversation felt familiar and new at the same time.
FINALLY, after Phil Collins was done singing, Josh asked Heidi out for their first “date.” Wow, what a night. The energy was intense. Josh dropped Heidi off at her home and ended the night with a kiss. She claims the thought still gives her butterflies (being cute allows her to get away with white lies).
Since that night their friendship become love and that love has become a partnership. They are so excited to build a life together, have a family, and live the rest of this love story together.
Aren’t they the cutest!?
I LOVE Joshua Tree!! These photos are GORG!
