It’s all smiles at these sunny spring nuptials on IBT today! The Paradise Valley Country Club wedding will not only give you all the happy feels, but also make your jaws drop. Specifically, when you get to the tented reception on the golf course lined with chandeliers and draped with greenery. But there’s much to love before that point in the night too… we’re loving the bridesmaids periwinkle dresses and the couple’s adorable golden retriever! Yep, there is a puppy, people!
Andrew Jade Photography says, Makenna’s family is deeply grounded in tradition, and it was important to her to express those traditions while planning her dream wedding. She and Bobby chose to hold their ceremony at Brophy Chapel in Phoenix, as she attended the sister school Xavier while in high school. She was able to stay true to her roots with a Catholic ceremony that accented their strong bond with both family and faith.
For their reception, Makenna and Bobby wanted the feeling of an upscale garden party, and chose the golf course at Paradise Valley Country Club to be the backdrop. Makenna’s parents have been members of the country club for as long as she can remember, and she has fond memories of growing up and visiting the country club often. It was important to her to have such an important day at a place that was so close to her heart. To transform the vast golf course into an elegant garden party, they rented a large white tent to tie the event together and provide some intimacy. Tenting the lawn made it feel like the guests were in their own little world together celebrating the bride and groom.
Makenna and Bobby spent months designing a custom wedding monogram to display across every aspect of their wedding day, which assisted the flow of the event from one space to the next. After dinner, the guests (and Bobby and Makenna) were awed with a surprise fireworks display from the country club lawn. Following the bright display, guests were ushered inside to enjoy late night snacks and hours of music and dancing. Every aspect of their wedding day reflected love, family, friends and tradition.
