There’s something so hopelessly romantic about a nautical wedding! With crashing waves, sandy beaches, and little anchors adorning the decor, these wedding are always beyond beautiful! While the theme is nothing new, it has become rather popular again so we decided to create a fresh, new take on it! With Be Inspired PR, we gathered a team of some of the top wedding vendors and created a modern spin on this American classic for Destination I Do Magazine. Our creative team made our “Sail Away with Me” vision come to life in the most incredible way!
The florals, by the amazing JL Designs, are breathtaking! Bougainvillea has become increasingly popular over the last couple of years, especially for destination weddings, so it was a no brainer that we would incorporate it into this styled shoot. Add in those lush and vibrant garden roses, peonies, and ranunculus and you have us wrapped around your little finger! We love how Lisa Gorjestani used the ikat pattern on the table to bring in the nautical color palette without making it feel too cheesy. The pops of gold, rope, and coral pieces bring in that ocean feel and make guests feel as if they’re celebrating with you on the docks!
We could not be more obsessed with that gorgeous lace bolero on the Kirstie Kelly wedding dress! And those mix and match navy bridesmaid dresses are perfect for a nautical wedding! Keeping the color palette but not overdoing the theme is key in making a nautical wedding chic with that understated elegance.
