Picture the perfect day: beautiful blue skies, lush green trees, and all the people you love most around. That’s what welcomed this couple on the day of their beautiful ivory, navy and pink Texas wedding! To make it even more picture perfect, the bridal party looked incredible in dusty pink bridesmaids dresses and blue suit pants & bowties, and ivory roses and greenery filled the bouquets and venue. Plus, they finished the night off on a sweet note with champagne, a cookie bar, and cake! Below, see all the beauty captured by Lauren Brandon Photography.
Katie and Chad’s wedding was the perfect mix of simple, classic elegance and rustic touches. They wanted their wedding to reflect them as a couple and Katie says that her foremost intention is that she wanted her wedding to be a “big party focused on the intention of the night- to celebrate their marriage with family and friends.” It was very important to Katie to tie in aspects that were meaningful to her family and to them as a couple.
Katie wanted planning her wedding to be just as memorable and special. She and her mom had traveled around tasting and collecting jam intentionally for a biscuit bar at the wedding, and she remembers this as one of her fondest memories. During cocktail hour guests dined on delicious Texas biscuits with jams and jellies collected from around Texas. Another meaningful feature was the cookie bar! Several years ago, Katie was the first employee for a friend’s local cookie shop, Pokey O’s. She watched her friend’s business flourish from a small business to their own storefront and wanted to incorporate this into her big day. The cookie bar, where friends and family could take cookies as favors, was the perfect way!
The most memorable moment of the all, though, was the private last dance with the new husband and wife. Katie says, “The night was a whirlwind, everything went by so quickly, but in that moment, time seemed to stand still.”
So pretty!
These florals are unreal!!
Loving the rustic vibes!
The cookie jars are such a cute touch- love it!
