Intimate Engagement Photos in Yosemite

This couple chose a special setting for their engagement session. The serene scenery and lack of people around made for the perfect intimate engagement photos in Yosemite National Park. From in front of the mountains to along the river, Chris and Katie wandered along the valley, where the photo ops were endless! Mallory Dawn Photography captured the the pair (who she met back in college!), and the place that means so much to them, beautifully, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to share the stunning photos!

Chris and I met our freshman year of college when we lived in the same dorm with Mallory of Mallory Dawn Photography! We started dating in November that year, and we have now been together for 8 years! Our families are both from the Bay Area, so it was an easy decision for us to move to San Francisco after we graduated.

We love to travel together, and we have so far been to France, Italy, Spain, Greece, Indonesia, and Japan. One of our favorite places to go is Yosemite, so it meant a lot to us to have our engagement photos taken there! We have gone camping there together every year since we graduated, and we always have an amazing time taking in the scenery. Chris proposed at the Grand Canyon, so National Parks have a special place in our relationship. The Grand Canyon had always been on our bucket list, and Chris planned the trip as a surprise and popped the question at sunrise on our 7th anniversary!
