Bohemian Hawaiian Vow Renewal

A Hawaiian vow renewal like we’ve never seen before graces our wedding blog today, full of wild flowers, guitar songs, and a feast for three. It’s romantic it’s bohemian and it’s what happens when a wedding planner, of CountDown Events Planning + Design, decides to renew her vows, in Maui nonetheless! The breathtaking scene left us with a flood of beautifully captured moments and the bride’s sweet words bring them to life..

Maui is our second home so it only made sense that we renew our vows there. I spent the day preparing for this intimate occasion by exploring the sandy beaches, lush blooms and the grand cacti native to the Wailea beaches of Maui with Tamiz Photography . For the actual ceremony and celebration we really wanted a setting that felt intimate, raw, organic and authentic to our roots and showed my family’s free spirited approach to life in general. Food is a big part of celebrating in my culture and in my home, so we needed to have a feast like spread where you felt welcome to sit and break bread with your loved ones. I am truly grateful that Melissa of Opihi Love took my concepts and created the perfect setting for us. The flowers were a combination of foraged wildflowers by Melissa of Opihi Love along with flowers provided by Bella Bloom . All of the décor details were provided by Melissa where she added just the right touch of bohemia.

We listened to the waves, exchanged words of love and heard them echo over the ocean breeze and then celebrated with the most symbolic element of our love, our daughter Amaya. It could not have been more perfect than that.
