You can’t beet a gorgeous farm to table wedding! Farm-t0-table has become such a popular concept over the last decade for events of all kinds, but this team managed to take the idea to the next level by combining all of our favorite “traditional” components of a farm-to-table wedding with new and fresh ideas that will have you obsessed. You’ll see earthy, organic blooms and tasty handmade creations (um, we’ll take ALL of the apple and apricot hand pies please!), but you’ll also find light and airy vellum place cards, crisp hand-crafted cocktails (one even has matcha!), and matte black details mixed with mint accents for a modern take on a farmland-inspired color palette. We could go on and on about all of the pretty bundled up in this shoot, but you’d be better off scrolling down to take a look and hearing from the talented team themselves about how they dreamed up this day!
Lauren from Lauren Alisse Photography shares more about the heart behind this styled shoot,
“Farm” is an unlikely term used in harmony with “luxury, modern wedding,” yet that’s just what you’ll find in this Californian “Farm to Table” inspired editorial at Park Winters. What started out as a regional effort back in 2008, “Farm to Table” quickly became a large-scale social movement embraced by patrons seeking fresh, simple, quality ingredients. Inspired by such a curated dining experience, Events by Kristina Elyse designed this wedding editorial that melds together modern elements with upscale countryside charm.
We hope you’re as inspired as we are for this fresh, countryside, farm-to-fork wedding design as we enter into warmer months and spring weddings!
Countryside life can be luxurious! Our bride wore a Pronovias gown with a keyhole back from Grace and White Bridal and sleek Bella Belle Olivia Embellished Pumps. Her soft and classic makeup was done by Taryn Passifione of Life’s Beauty Mark and her gorgeous red carpet inspired updo was done by Michele Nyberg of Michele DeeAnn Makeup Artistry. Our groom wore a traditional black tux with satin lapels and bow tie, elevating the feel of our luxury, farm-fresh design. We felt it was important to keep their look minimal and fresh to showcase how couples can absolutely have alfresco dining at their countryside wedding, with a modern flair.
If you look closely, you’ll find fun produce-inspired details, including custom-designed asparagus, themed table numbers, and a “Lettuce Celebrate” escort chart by Shimmer and Stain. This statement piece was commissioned for our editorial to bring in an element of modern, sleek design which we think perfectly balances the soft, organic vibe of the dinner tablescape. We love the whimsical florals by The Posh Posey that frame the escort chart and beyond, bringing cohesion to the entire styled shoot from the mobile bar, to the lounge, to the hand-pie station, to the dinner table, and even to the flatlays styled by photographer Lauren Alisse Photography on Olive and Oak flat lay mats. Little Bird Paper Company finalized the look with a beautifully punny invitation suite, menu cards adorn with beet illustrations, and vellum place cards.
Urban Acres created the most adorable cut-out cookies featuring hand-painted vegetables and a mock-up of Park Winter’s iconic victorian home. We think the watercolor style of these cookies perfectly encapsulates the organic, perfectly imperfect look of fresh produce you’ll salivate over during a Farm to Table dining experience.
Soft greens, neo mint, and pale blues juxtapose hints of matte black and hunter green – a modern twist to this farmland inspired color palette. While long stretches of farm tables are no longer a wedding reception novelty, the lighter oak wash and Abby dining chairs from Celebrations Party Rentals offer a fresh spin on this dining experience. A bounty of organic beets and locally baked bread topped this elegant tablescape to complement the floral arrangements by The Posh Posy. The white beaded placemats and meadow hydrangea cloth napkins from BBJ Linen tied the table together making it a perfect setting for an outdoor plated meal.
Palette Cakes tastefully created a gorgeous three-tiered wedding cake with handmade sugar flowers. In addition, she made homemade apple and apricot hand pies, a subtle nod to our Farm to Fork theme. Who doesn’t love pie?!
Organic hand-crafted cocktails were made by mobile bar company Bar Baby Co. We just love that even these cocktails went with the color scheme – hello neo-mint matcha and green mint leaves! Shimmer and Stain created the sweetest custom bar menu for the signature drinks, fitting for any wedding.
