Desert Sand Dunes Elopement

There is no denying that the desert houses expansive and stunning landscape. This shoot relied on that gorgeous backdrop for a slightly bohemian, completely beautiful desert sand dunes elopement. Not only is the setting just right, but the couple’s love for one another is positively undeniable. It shows in the way they dance in the sand and cuddle on the Moroccan style lounge. Janey Pakpahan made sure everything caught the sunset light just right.  And the result is amazing.

Janey shares, The desert is Nature’s blank canvas! I was delighted to make my vision come to life in the oasis. I captured a glimpse of Jessica & Patrick’s romance and I cannot help but think how incredibly fortunate people are to find love. As a whole, we blend together- co-existing by one another. Then, if you are lucky you will run into someone and find the perfect person uniquely created just for you. Your mirage of a soulmate becomes reality!

Using this open canvas, we combined the rich vibrant colors of gold, deep purple, royal purple & maroon in order to allow these colors to catch the hopelessly romantic viewer. The soft, dreamy lettering in the paper goods, signage bring everything in together seamlessly. The Moroccan lounging area was a warm and intimate place to show sweet moments between the couple

The sand dunes are a sublime place to capture a love story on still images. The steep slopes fold softly aside each other providing just enough space to create multiple dimensions. The sun’s natural light also compliments the dark rich colors of the style we wanted to create. The stillness surrounding them as to enclose each detail – the gorgeous drape of the dress, the vibrant patterns inside the groom’s jackets and a peek into their love as he softly places her hair behind her ear. This avenue provides privacy, and isolation in order to bring out the shyest couples emotions.
